Going Away Soon

Before Homosexuals just received the Green Light from Seed and Spark! Thanks to a generous (and anonymous), benefactor who understands that an assault on LGBT rights is underway in this country, and that #Resistancemeans getting our film into classrooms, lecture halls, and libraries, where people can see and hear the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Heroes and Heroines who have created lush artworkbeautiful poetry, and who have taken courageous and historic action to resist the oppressors of their generation, as we resist the oppressors of our generation. And what better way to resist than by owning a piece of history? In the case of our anonymous benefactor, owning the signed and numbered Gilbert Baker Rainbow Flag, and in so doing, making a financial contribution to the worthy cause of making our history known forever?

There are only 24 more hours for you to own your own piece of history and to send your own message that hate has no place here, by making more young people aware of the many great things LGBT people have done for society since 2000 BC. Tomorrow, January 10, 2018 at the stroke of midnight, this campaign will come to an end.

Your tax-deductible support will allow an educational recut of our film to be mass-produced and placed in educational institutions around the world, which requires the following resources, which your donation will support:

  • Film Editor for Educational Recut
  • Graphic Designer for Promotional Materials
  • Travel Expenses to meet with educational distributors, colleges, universities, and grassroots organizations
  • Physical Production of BluRay, DVD & Study Guides
  • Film Screening Space Rentals
  • Publicity and Advertising
  • Review of legal contracts for educational distribution

You can help us reach that goal while having the chance to acquire some special rewards, including many one-of-a-kind works of historical relevance. Click on the pictures above and below to see more of our campaign rewards, including many fascinating books used in the making of the film.

Did we mention that one of the best donations you could give us is absolutely free? Simply clicking the follow button and following our campaign will not only be greatly appreciated, but will help us qualify for additional incentives from the Seed & Spark organization, so please follow us if you can! Lovers and Liberators of Democracy for Dan Kagan & Chris Murphy!

A big shout out to Dan Kagan and Chris Murphy for their generous donation to our Seed and Spark campaign to bring 4 thousand years of LGBT history to classrooms around the world. We thank them with the statues of Aristogeiton and Harmodius, photographed by our producer, Christopher Dawes in the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli, as our director, John Scagliotti looks on.

Aristogeiton and Harmodius were two lovers from ancient Athens who, after they killed the tyrant Hipparchus, were referred to as the Tyrannicides and became the preeminent symbols of democracy to ancient Athenians.

Thank you again Dan & Chris!

A Sappho for Michael Goldburg!

A big shout out to Michael Goldburg for his generous donation! We thank him with a fresco of Sappho, photographed by our producer, Christopher Dawes.

The fresco was discovered in Pompeii in 1760 and dates from 55-79 BC. John Scagliotti, director of Before Homosexuals, points to the fresco in the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli, where the photograph was taken.

Thanks again Michael!
